About Me!

I love writing stories that are set in the real world, weaving in history and mythology, that thrive in found family bonds, and their resilient spirit of overcoming insurmountable odds. I love adding little Easter Eggs in my books to either reference books later in the series or reference shows and books that I grew up with. I tried to learn from the best. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic, being a mood reader makes it hard to read what I’ve got in my small library collection. I definitely claim to be a book-hoarding dragon. I’m always eager to chat about fantasy and romance books with anyone who will listen to my rambles. I grew up in the Charleston area but proudly claim my New England sports roots. I hold a BA in English from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

So where did my love reading and writing start? Well with Percy Jackson and the LightningThief of course!   The first time I picked up the book, I didn’t understand it nor like it, so I put it down until I was required to read it for my 7th grade English class which funnily enough was when I decided to try it again. I think that’s where my mood reading changed.  I absolutely loved it and finished the rest of the books as fast as I could. My mom kept telling me to put the books down, multiple times, when she had been telling me for years to pick up a book.  Mom always knows... ;-)

I had started to create my own world within Rick Riordan’s world and years later finally put it down on paper. Started with poorly written stories, but eventually created a series I was proud of and worked on for years and still to this day tinker with it when I need a break from my fantasy.  It wasn’t until halfway through my sophomore year in college that I had an epiphany on needing to change my major and create a new series. Low and behold the Constellation series was created and have been working nonstop (outside of work and school) to this series. When I’m not writing, I can be found wandering bookstores, sipping coffee, reading my endless TBR list, or dancing to Taylor Swift in my room. Forever looking for inspiration for my next story or scene.
